The name Oratnitza refers to a ritual cleansing by fire, performed before ‘Shrovetide’. The style is even more unusual - a mixture of Bulgarian folklore, Aboriginal motifs (executed on didgeridoo), dubstep, drum ‘n’ bass and orthodox chanting. The trancy, sweeping rhythms of their music invite the audience on a collective musical voyage. Until the present day there hasn't been a single occasion on which people didn't intuitively start dancing the traditional Horo !

Oratnitza is: Popa (vocals), Horhe (didgeridoo), Buny (percuission), Hristian (kaval)
